Fixtures released for 2024 Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League

The countdown to the 2024 Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League has begun with the official release of this season’s fixture list.

Following the dynamic new format which was such a success in its inaugural year, the League will feature five home-or-away fixtures followed by the Finals Weekend in Adelaide on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October.

Once again, each round will feature both men’s and women’s fixtures with the top four teams progressing to the finals weekend.

Perth Steel, which took out both the men’s and women’s crowns in 2023, will look to start their campaign on a high note with a round one clash against Adelaide Storm. The men’s fixture will be a rematch from last year’s decider.

In the other opening week clashes, NSW Phoenix play host to Canberra Heat, while Sunday afternoon volleyball returns to Brisbane when the Queensland Pirates clash with Melbourne Vipers.

Volleyball Australia CEO Andrew Dee said he is looking forward to another action-packed season with naming rights sponsor Mahindra coming on board for their first year.

“The League was an incredible success last year from the perspective of players, spectators and viewers around the country,” he said. “The second year of the new format is certain to be even more exciting and we’re incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate partner in Mahindra joining forces with the League this year.

“This is the second major tournament they have got behind having also been naming rights sponsors of the Mahindra Australian Beach Volleyball Championships on the Gold Coast earlier this year.

“The finals weekend will be a fantastic occasion and we’re looking forward to getting back to Adelaide for another high-quality volleyball event in October when the competition will be decided.”

Ankit Taneja, National Manager – Mahindra Australia said he is looking forward to partnering with the League as it looks to go to another level.
